  • Applying machine learning tools to recognize correlations between various features extracted from the signal.

  • Verifying and validating algorithms by conducting experiments to verify results.

  • Following the repeatability and reproducibility protocol by repeating experiments on multiple users to reproduce verifiable results.

  • Interfacing with the backend software development team to groom requirements for each sprint, implement, and integrate analytics software with the backend.

  • Understanding limitations and constraints of the backend in order to design more efficient & scalable analytics algorithms that are easy to implement in the backend.

  • Communicating results through data visualization and documentation.

  • Supervising team members to help them understand and follow companys standards and com- ply with quality assurance.

Research Experience

  • Applying Machine Learning techniques to astrophysical data June 2018 - present of variable sources, such as blazars and X-ray binaries.

  • Conducting research into relativistic jet emission from sub April 2016 - present parsec (pc) to kpc scales through data-fitting of the observed

spectral energy distributions (SEDs) and spectral variability patterns (SVPs) of Active galaxies, from radio to γ-rays, using the MUlti ZOne Radiation Feedback (MUZORF) model.

  • Investigated the effects of the orientation of magnetic field Oct 2013 - Dec 2015 on the SEDs and SVPs of blazars using MUZORF.

  • Investigated the effects of accretion disk, broad line region, Feb 2011 - Sept 2013 & dusty torus on the high-energy emission of blazars and their

implications on the location of γ-ray emission in jets of blazars.

  • Conducted polarimetric & photometric observations, including Oct 2009 - May 2013 data reduction, of blazars at Lowell observatory, Flagstaff, AZ.

MUZORF in C for relativistic jets using internal shock scenario

to study the impact of a single collision on SEDs & SVPs of blazars.

  • Conducted theoretical analysis of the blazar 3C 66A and predicted June 2004 - Oct 2006 that it is well within the sensitivity limit of γ-ray telescopes. Fermi, MAGIC, and VERITAS if inverse Comptonization of photons external to the jet is significant. The prediction came true when 3C 66A was observed by VERITAS in an active state emitting > 100 GeV photons (Swordy et al., 2008, ATel #1753).
